On one sunny day we decided to visit the Featherdale Wildlife Park which is in Sydney not far from Blacktown. That was my first visit there but my wife went with me with a great pleasure for the second time. This is one of the places in Australia which you can often visit and you’ll never get tired. If you like nature and wild animals this is the place to go.

In Featherdale Wildlife Park you can not only look at animals you can even touch some of them. Kangaroos, beautiful peacocks and ostriches walk together with you on the tracks between cages with beautiful and famous animals and birds of Australia.

In Featherdale Wildlife Park you can not only make photos of you together with koalas or kangaroos but also catch a moment as you touch or feed them. Yes, you can even hand feed them. That’s lots of joy and fun, especially for little ones. Even our baby-boy enjoyed watching these strange creatures moving and making different sounds around him. There you can also visit a souvenir shop and shady picnic areas with BBQ's.

About sounds. As we entered the Featherdale park we saw kookaburras - the most famous bird of Australia. Kookaburras occur throughout eastern Australia. It has also been introduced to Tasmania and the extreme south-west of Western Australia, as well as New Zealand. We started making pictures of them - they are really pretty! And then one of them started making sounds (I wouldn’t say singing as it sounds more like laughing) something like 'koo-koo-koo-koo-koo-kaa-kaa-kaa', then the other one joined and then all the others… That was fantastic. I have never heard anything more nice and funny! Not without reason they are called laughing kookaburras :)

...Kangaroos, beautiful peacocks and ostriches walk together with you on the tracks... so description may sound rather like – A PLACE WHERE ANIMALS MEET YOU, NOT OTHERWISE :)
